Minecraft Server¶

firewall forwards ports 80, 22 and 25565
tiki.dev.ru.is is on a dell 1650 with raid5 and 4Gb of ram.
The raid5 is running on dells perc/3i controller and 3 16Gb 10,000 rpm scsi disks.
tiki now runs on a extra shuttle pc 64bit amd processor with 2Gb of ram
donated to hakkavelin, eventually to move to a a newer shuttle with 4 (vs 2) slots for ram.
It's running on debian stable (squeeze) with sun java jre.
Aliased to minecraft.dev.ru.is and mc.dev.ru.is

The current world runs out of a ramdisk stored at /dev/shm/ram.world which is symlinked to /home/minecraft/vanilla/ram.world

authbind has been added to allow python -m SimpleHTTPServer to run on port 80 and display maps generated with
overviewer
the current map can be viewed here

a 15 minute cron job re-renders the map. We should start rsync backups to AFS at some point.
