Phobic Properties¶

The more invasive a procedure is, the greater the fear is. This may due to a sense of restriction and a loss of control which often appears while sitting in a dentist's chair.

Connection to Virtual Reality¶

VR is still regularly used to assist people with dental phobia, but as a diversion tactic rather than a method of treatment.
