11 | Aquaphobia is neither the same as thalassophobia nor hydrophobia. Thalassophobia is the fear of the sea, but it generally is the fear of being far away from land and the fear of marine creatures than the fear of the water itself. Hydrophobia is an historic name for rabies, especially the latter stages wherein people present difficulty swallowing and may display fear when presented with liquids to drink. |
