• What authorizations are required for the flight
  • Authorization from CAA ⁽¹⁾
    Send application to fly@caa.is with the following information:
    • Project description
    • Who's behind the project
    • Type of launch (craft)
    • Reason for launch
    • Launch location
    • Launch time
    • Estimated height of flight
    • Estimated flight duration

According to the CAA we have to apply for authorization at least 3 days before the flight.

3. Note especially Annex II-(i) (page 33 of document) wich states that unmanned aircraft with an operating mass of no more than 150 kg are excempt from articles 4(1), 4(2) and 4(3). Wich basically means that none of the regulation applies in our case.
