TeXstudio bug - Typing fast ignores special characters (áíú)¶

This is a know bug with the Windows implementation of QT, which TeXstudio is built on (and other editors such as TeXworks).

When typing special characters that are made up by pressing two keyboard keys (such as the Icelandic áéíóúý) fast, the editor doesn't seem recognize the first keypress, so it just registers the letter without the accent.

A quick searched turned up these bug reports:

• QTBUG-8764 Dead key losts when typing very fast (priority high, last updated 29/Mar/11)
• QTBUG-10032 Typing too fast ignores special characters (priority low, last updated 06/Dec/10)

This problem hasn't been solved and, since there is no activity since last March, I'm not sure it will be fixed any time soon. Just putting this here so people know about it and don't get too frustrated.
